Somerset Aviation is dedicated to providing excellence in aviation theory training and standards. Flight Simulator Training offers a unique opportunity for students to expand their knowledge and experience of instrument approach & landing (IAL) procedures. Instrument rating theory, ATPL Pilots also have the opportunity to undertake flight simulator training with one of our suppliers, CPL, CASA Exam preparation, IFR Theory Training, Skeye. Somerset Aviation can give overseas pilots (even airline pilots) the appropriate training to convert their licence to Australian CPL or ATPL standard. Somerset Aviation also assists overseas pilots with Foreign Licence Conversion. Lindsay also holds a current certificate 4 in workplace training and assessment and is a registered theory provider with CASA. Lindsay, your theory instructor, has been teaching aviation theory since 1995 and is an experienced pilot himself. On many occasions, there will be less and ‘one on one’ tuition can be organised. Pilots can be assured that they will be in a class of no more than four others. Class size is important to us at Somerset Aviation. Since 1995 we have provided theory training to pilots preparing for the CASA instrument rating examination. (more).
